The Space

Our guest casita is 3 miles from Downtown San Antonio. If you are looking for a perfectly manicured neighborhood, we may not be for you. But if you’re looking for a space tailored for singles/couples seeking a relaxing getaway, you have found it. Our creative space reflects the vibrant Mexican culture of SATX, our love for design, & tech. The space features a private hot tub, premium kitchen wares, a touch espresso machine, & free-range chickens as your neighbors. This is Texas. We live in the main house up front, and are here if you need us. Your space is nestled within a private fenced-in environment. You will have your very own slice of Texas, complete with hens and a rooster that you can watch and even feed! Embrace the charm of our 1-bedroom, 1-bath home featuring a full kitchen for your convenience. Although the space is cozy at 354 sqft, the high ceilings create an airy, open atmosphere, making it feel surprisingly spacious.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to their fenced in area except where signs indicate. Guests are not to walk in the chicken enclosure because of our resident rooster. He can be territorial and dangerous. Guests may park on the long driveway or curbside parking. The driveway is long enough to accommodate an RV or moving truck.

Host Access

Because we’re dedicated to the well-being of our resident chickens and maintaining the jacuzzi, we need daily access to the grounds(not home) without notice. Rest assured, we value your privacy and will be as discreet as possible.

Things to Note

Please no shoes in the house. House slippers welcome. The rooster crows in the early morning. We do provide ear plugs. If this does not work for you, please find a space that accommodates you better. There is limited storage, including no closet, in the home. We do provide luggage racks, a few hangers and 3 drawers for clothing. We take pride in our space and in order to maintain our high standards, we have a strict maximum capacity of 2 registered guests. The hot tub is available for registered guests only. Pets are NOT allowed, no exceptions. ESA animals are also not permitted unless Texas law requires it at the time of your stay.

I was born and raised in San Diego, California, but I’ve been calling San Antonio, Texas, home since 2016. For over 11 years, I’ve had the joy of being both a host and guest, traveling to different corners of the world. This year alone, I’ve explored China, Guatemala, South Korea, and Japan.
